1. Person responsible

The Residenz Hotel am Festspielhaus, located at Josef-WulffStr. 75, 45657 Recklinghausen, represented by Mr. Herrmann-Josef Thiel, is responsible for the data collection and processing.


2. Storage of the IP address

This is immediately anonymised on our website so that a personal reference is no longer producible and a deletion of the data is therefore no mandatory.


3. Usage of data when visiting the websites

The protection of your privacy is very important to us. We have therefore designed our website in such a way that it can be used anonymously.

The information which we receive and save during your visit to our website is solely used for internal business purposes and to improve the design of the websites The only exception is when there is a need to counter attacks which constitute criminal offences, or which hinder the functionality of our website. We therefore record for example the IP address of your computer, but this is then analysed anonymously.

Data protection rules for the implementation and use of Matomo-

Matomo is integrated on the websites of the Residenz Hotel am Festspielhaus (an open-source software tool for web analysis) Web analytics is the survey, collection and analysis of data on the behaviour of visitors to websites. Among other things, a web analytics tool collects data on which website a person concerned was linked to a website (so-called referrer), which sub-pages of the website were accessed or how often and for which length of stay a sub page was viewed. A web analysis is mainly used to optimise a website and for the cost-benefit analysis of Internet advertising. The software is operated on the server of the controller, the data protection sensitive log files are stored exclusively on this server. Matomo sets a cookie (the term cookie is described in point 4) on the information technology system of the person concerned. By setting the cookie, we are enabled to analyse the use of our website. Each time a single page of this website is called up, the internet browser on the information technology system of the person concerned is automatically prompted by the Matomo component, submitting data to our server for online analysis purposes. In the context of this technical procedure, we gain knowledge of personal data, such as the IP address of the person concerned, which among other things serves to help us understand the origin of visitors and clicks.

By means of the cookies, personally identifiable information, such as access time, the location from which access was made, and the frequency of visits to our website is stored. Each time you visit our website, this personal information, including the IP address of the Internet connection used by the person concerned, is transmitted to our server. This personal data is stored by us. We do not share this personal information with third parties.

6. Credit card details for bookings or voucher orders

Details of your credit card information for the processing of your reservation or your voucher order on our web pages are protected by PCI Security Standards Council. Further information on credit cards can be found under point 7 (online reservation) and point 18 (voucher shop)

7. Online Reservations

For the online reservation we need your personal information. We process your data in accordance with art. 6, paragraph 1.b of the GDPR for the purpose of fulfilment of the agreement.

Entering the phone number and address data is optional and there are no negative consequences of not providing this information. Your details are only used to provide you with the services included in our contract and are of course treated in full confidentiality. In the framework of the online reservation, you will be automatically transferred to the online booking system of our selected cooperation partner BUSY ROOMS (Central Reservation System), which carries out the reservation for us. This is obliged to comply with data protection regulations. Collected customer data shall be deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationschip. Legal retention periods remain unaffacted.

8. Anonymisation of customer data (security and privacy) for online reservation

30 days after departure (check out) all not needed, personal customer data will be anonymised. After that, we no longer have access to customer-specific data.


9. Data protection notice with regard to Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and which allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for website operators and to provide other services related to website activity and Internet usage. 11. Facebook

Our pages contain integrated plugins of the social network Facebook that is provided by facebook inc…You can recognise these facebook plugins when you see the facebook logo or the “like button” on our internet pages. If you visit our website, a direct connection will be established between your browser and the Facebook Server via the plugin. 14. OpenTable

The usage of the reservation tool OpenTable personal data from OpenTable will only be processed to the extent necessary to carry out the services offered. Data collection of personal data does not take place. The user must enter personal data himself. Personal data will not be forwarded to third parties, unless this has been previously indicated to the user and the user has electronically agreed to the transmission through a clear and conscious act. 15. Google Adwords

Our free newsletter will only be sent to you when you order it using the online form provided.

For this purpose we collect your e-mail address in order to be able to send you the newsletter after confirmation of your registration. Data, which you voluntarily give us in the registration form, we use for a targeted communication. If you no longer wish to receive a newsletter in the future, you can unsubscribe at any time in the link provided in the newsletter or on our website.


18. Data is transmitted upon the conclusion of the agreement voucher shop

If you have a coupon on our website, the following data must be entered:

1. Title of the customer

2. First Name, Last Name of the customer

3. Address data of the customer (e.g. sending of the voucher by post/ for invoicing)

4. Email of the customer (for booking confirmation and sending the invoice)

5. Credit card details (only if you pay by credit card)

You have the option to pay the selected voucher in advance or by credit card. We will send your booking confirmation to the email you provided. If required, personal data will be forwarded to the companies (see Information Data Recipient, Item 14) involved in the execution of this agreement, for example financial institutions for payment processing. The data required for the fulfilment of the agreement will be deleted no later than 6 months after termination of the agreement and will only be kept available for any further inquiries.

We only send data to third parties if this is necessary in the course of agreement execution, for example the payment platform commissioned with the payment processing or by mail order for processing the voucher (specified address data for shipping)


Data transfer to payment providers

Your data will only be forwarded via secure SSL encryption to the payment provider selected by you in the ordering process for the purpose of processing payments. The transmission of your data to the payment service provider is made on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR (consent) and Art. 6 (1) (b) of the GDPR (processing for the execution of an agreement). You have the possibility to revoke your consent to data processing at any time. A revocation does not affect the past data processing operations.


Payment using Visa, Mastercard, American Express

If you pay by credit card the payment is handled by the payment provider concardis GmbH, D-65760 Eschborn Helfmann-Park 7/ Germany. The data required (card number, validity and test number will be forwarded to the payment provider in encrypted form and are not visible for the website operator. The electronic payment method using credit card is PCI-DSS certified and offers the customer the highest possible data security.


Declaration

SSL is a protocol that allows a secure connection between the web browser and the server. It is used to secure online transactions by encrypting website data and confidential information over the Internet.

PCI-DSS (PCI-Data Card Industry Data Security Standard) is a set of requirements that ensure that companies that process, store or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment.

19. Online applications
If you apply online for the vacancies we advertise, we only collect the data that is required to process your application at the Residenz Hotel am Festspielhaus. These are title, first and last name, application documents and to contact us by email and telephone number.
